Connect Fiken
How to connect Cmerce to Fiken, choose the company and check the accounts, so sales from the till, the webshop and subscriptions are booked in Fiken.
Once Cmerce is connected to Fiken, your sales are sent to the accounts as ready-made vouchers: the end-of-day report (Z-rapport) from each till, webshop sales and subscriptions. You no longer have to enter the daily settlements by hand, and your accountant can trace every voucher back to the receipt the customer received.
Before you start
- You need an active Fiken subscription for the company you will book to, and a Fiken user with access to that company.
- In Cmerce you need the permission «Integrasjoner (regnskap m.m.)» (Integrations – accounting etc.). The Eier (Owner) and Administrator roles have it by default.
- It is a good idea to talk to your accountant first. The suggested accounts follow the Norwegian standard chart of accounts (NS 4102), but they must match the chart of accounts your company actually uses.
How to do it
1. Connect
- Go to «Integrasjoner» (Integrations) → «Regnskap» (Accounting).
- Click «Koble til Fiken» (Connect Fiken).
- You are sent to Fiken. Log in and approve access for Cmerce.
- You return to «Regnskap», and the card shows «Tilkoblet» (Connected).
2. Finish the setup
- Click «Start oppsett» (Start setup).
- Step «Velg selskap» (Choose company): pick the Fiken company the sales should be booked to, and continue.
- Step «Koble kontoer» (Map accounts): Cmerce fetches the chart of accounts from Fiken and suggests an account for each item, grouped under «Salgsinntekter» (Sales revenue), «Betalingsmåter» (Payment methods), «Annet» (Other) and «Balanse» (Balance sheet). Check the suggestions and change them where needed.
- If an account you have just created in Fiken is missing, click «Oppdater kontoer fra Fiken» (Refresh accounts from Fiken).
- Click «Fullfør oppsett» (Finish setup). You get the message «Regnskapsoppsett fullført».
3. Choose the export settings
Click «Innstillinger» (Settings) on the Fiken card. Here you choose:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| «Nettbutikk — detaljnivå» (Webshop – level of detail) | «Dagsoppsummering» (one voucher per day) or «Per ordre» (one voucher per receipt and credit note). |
| «Abonnement — detaljnivå» (Subscriptions – level of detail) | The same choice for subscription sales. Till sales are always booked per Z-report. |
| «Automatisk nattlig eksport» (Automatic nightly export) | Sends new vouchers to Fiken every night. |
| «Kundesynkronisering» (Customer sync) | «Av» (Off), «Kun bedriftskunder (org.nr)» (Business customers only) or «Alle kunder» (All customers). |
| «Produktsynkronisering» (Product sync) | Sends your products to Fiken. |
| «Bokfør kassedifferanse» (Book cash variance) | Sends the cash variance from the end-of-day report as a separate voucher. |
4. Send sales now (optional)
Click «Synkroniser nå», choose «Salg (dato)» (Sales by date), and set «Fra dato» (From date) and «Til dato» (To date). The period can be up to 90 days. If you choose «Kunder (match mot regnskapssystemet)» (Customers – match against the accounting system), your customers are matched with the customers in Fiken, and Fiken's customer number is filled in on each customer.
Good to know
- Keep an eye on the export under «Integrasjoner» → «Regnskap» → «Eksporthistorikk» (Export history). It shows every voucher with its status, and you can open the voucher in Fiken. See What is sent to the accounts?.
- «Test tilkobling» (Test connection) checks that Cmerce can still reach Fiken.
- «Krever ny innlogging» (Re-login required): if access to Fiken has expired, the card says «Tilkoblingen har utløpt». Click «Koble til på nytt» (Reconnect) and log in to Fiken again.
- «Koble fra» (Disconnect) stops all exports. Vouchers already sent, and the export log, are kept.
- As long as no accounting system is connected, you get a suggested manual voucher for each end-of-day report. See Bookkeeping suggestion from the end-of-day report.
- If you want to sell on invoice, set it up with the «Faktura» (Invoice) and «Sjekk fakturering» (Check invoicing) buttons on the same card. See Invoicing and credit sales.
Frequently asked questions
Which accounts should I choose?
The suggestions are standard accounts, but your company's own chart of accounts is what counts. If you are unsure, contact your accountant.
Can I switch company in Fiken later?
Yes, with «Velg selskap» (Choose company) on the Fiken card. The accounts must match the new company's chart of accounts, so review «Kontoplan» afterwards.
Are old sales sent when I connect?
«Synkroniser nå» sends sales for the period you choose. The nightly export looks a few days back, so an end-of-day report that arrives late is included too. Sales that have already been sent are never sent twice.
