Shipping, in-store pickup and digital goods
Choose whether the webshop offers home delivery at a flat rate, in-store pickup, or digital goods only – and how products decide the delivery options at checkout.
Under «Levering» (Delivery) you decide how customers receive their goods: shipped home at a flat rate, collected in one of your shops, or no delivery at all if you only sell digital goods and services. Which options the customer actually sees at checkout also depends on the products in the cart.
Before you start
- You need the permission «Utseende og merkevare» (Appearance and branding).
- For in-store pickup you need at least one location. You create locations under «Kasse (POS)» → «Lokasjoner» (Locations). See Registers and locations.
How to do it
- Go to «Innstillinger» (Settings) → «Nettbutikk» (Webshop) → «Levering».
- Under «Hjemlevering» (Home delivery), switch on «Tilby hjemlevering» (Offer home delivery) and enter «Fraktpris (kr)» (Shipping price, NOK). Enter
0for free shipping. - Under «Hent i butikk» (Pick up in store), switch on «Tilby henting i butikk» (Offer in-store pickup) if customers should be able to collect their order. The customer picks the shop at checkout.
- If you only sell digital goods and services, switch both off. The section «Ingen leveringsmåte» (No delivery method) then appears, and you must tick «Butikken selger kun digitale varer og tjenester» (The shop sells only digital goods and services).
- Press «Lagre endringer» (Save changes). You get the message «Leveringsinnstillinger lagret» (Delivery settings saved) – or «Lagret — nettbutikken selger kun digitale varer» (Saved – the webshop sells digital goods only).

Physical or digital product: «Krever frakt»
Every product has the switch «Krever frakt» (Requires shipping) – under «Automatisering» (Automation) on the product, and per variant. It decides whether the item is delivered:
- On = a physical item to be shipped or collected.
- Off = a digital item or service. No delivery options at checkout.
The webshop checkout follows this rule: the delivery step only appears when the cart contains at least one item that requires shipping. A cart with only digital items gets no delivery options and no shipping charge – but the customer must still enter a billing address.
What the customer sees at checkout
- If you offer both home delivery and pickup, the customer chooses between «Send til meg» (Send to me) and «Hent i butikk» (Pick up in store).
- The shipping price appears as the line «Frakt» (Shipping) in the order summary before the customer presses «Bekreft kjøp» (Confirm purchase). In-store pickup is free.
- If the cart contains a physical item but the shop offers neither shipping nor pickup, the customer sees «Nettbutikken tilbyr for øyeblikket ikke levering av fysiske varer. Kontakt oss for å fullføre kjøpet.» (The webshop currently does not deliver physical goods. Contact us to complete the purchase.), and the purchase cannot be completed.
In-store pickup (click and collect)
- When the order is packed, open it under «Salg» (Sales) → «Ordrer» (Orders) and press «Marker klar for henting» (Mark ready for pickup). The customer is notified by e-mail (and SMS if enabled).
- When the customer collects the goods, hand the order over from the till. A reserved card amount is captured automatically at handover.
See Web orders at the till for how to hand over at the till.
Good to know
- The shipping price is one flat price per order, regardless of the number of items.
- Subscriptions have their own switch, «Fysisk levering» (Physical delivery), in the subscription section of the product.
Frequently asked questions
